Lois L. Anderson, age 89, lifelong resident of Duluth, joined the love of her life Don, Thursday, October 21, 2010. Lois was born August 26, 1921 in Duluth to B. Edward and Marie Liston. She was a graduate of Denfeld High School and later St. Scholastica College. On December 6, 1943 Lois married Donald E. Anderson. They had begun dating in the eighth grade at age 14. Lois began her career by working in the office of U.S. Steel. After raising her children, she went back to work at First Northern Consultants, not retiring until she was 80 years old. Lois was born August 26, 1921 in Duluth to B. Edward and Marie Liston. She was a graduate of Denfeld High School and later St. Scholastica College. On December 6, 1943 Lois married Donald E. Anderson. They had begun dating in the eighth grade at age 14.

Lois began her career by working in the office of U.S. Steel. After raising her children, she went back to work at First Northern Consultants, not retiring until she was 80 years old. After retiring Lois volunteered at St. Luke's Hospital and was an Auxiliary Board Member.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Donald E. Anderson; and son-in-law, David R. Pederson.

She is survived by her children, Sally Anderson, of Duluth, Thomas L. (Victoria Coshow) Anderson, Of Greensboro, NC and Barbara A. (Steve) Peterson, of Saginaw; four grandchildren, Ryan (Chrissy) Anderson, Nora Anderson, John (Jessica) Pederson and Eric (Joey) Pederson; four great-grandchildren, Claire, Lars, Mason, and Spencer; and her sister, Faye (Grant) Erickson, of New Jersey; special friends Charlie and Lynn Landstrom and her symphony, Playhouse and St. Luke's buddies and Mike.

Visitation will be from 3 - 5 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2010 in the Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home, 925 E. 4th Street and from 12 Noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service on Monday, October 27, 2010 at the funeral home.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to St. the Luke's Volunteer Guild, c/o of St. Luke's Hospital, 915 E. 1st Street, Duluth, MN 55805. You may leave a memory of Lois or messages for the family at www.bellbrothersjarvidowd.com Arrangements by the Jarvi Dowd
