Lorene Elaine Jenkins, 87, of Jasper, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Ridgewood Health Care Center. Visitation will be held Monday, May 15, 2017, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 15, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens. Jonathan Todd will officiate. Jenkins was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Jenkins; parents, Jack Hayes and Lima Hayes; grandson, Mark Jenkins; great-grandson, Koty Hensley; daughters-in-law, Paula Jenkins and Donna Jenkins; brother, Ray Hayes; sister-in-law, Martha Hayes; sister, Jean Hayes; and nephew, Vaughn Hayes. She is survived by her sons, James W. Jenkins (Vicky), John M. Jenkins (Millie), and Michael Joe Jenkins (Patsy); daughter, Dixie D. Taylor (Steve); daughters-in-law, Vicky Jenkins, Millie Jenkins and Patsy Jenkins; grandchildren, James E. Jenkins, Michael L. Jenkins, Jamie Jenkins, Jennifer Jenkins, Jodie Taylor, and Michael Ann Jenkins; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Hayes (Betty); sister, Gwen Guinn (Wilkie); and nieces and nephews, Rhonda Hayes, Gary Darty, Danny Darty, Dwight Darty, Linda Gail Hayes, Tony Hayes and Jeffrey Hayes.

Lorene was the sweetest lady to me every single time I stayed or visited. All the different times and events are too numerous to name. Loved her so much and truly appreciate the kind lady she was to me every single time I was a guest at the Jenkins. Bless her!
