Lorene Wilson Hutcherson has gone to dance with Daddy and, kiss Jesus' feet on August 23, 2017. She was born in Russel Springs, Kentucky on January 31, 1941.
Lorene was a charter member of the New Life Church of God in Ferguson Kentucky. New Life Church was founded on Easter Sunday 2002 and Lorene took fellowship with the new church along with her mother Elsie Wilson. Lorene was a great asset to the membership of New Life and was always a willing worker serving anywhere she was needed. She was well known for the fantastic pork loins and homemade bread she often brought to the many church fellowship dinners. Lorene was a very generous person who gave generously to the building program at New Life and was known to give often to the many charitable causes that arose from time to time. Lorene was a Spirit filled child of God who loved good anointed preaching and the old hymns of the faith. When the Spirit moved her, she would raise her hands in praise and cry great tears of joy. Lorene was dearly loved by her church family and she will be greatly missed by them all. However, it is such a great comfort to know that she is now in her new heavenly home and in the very presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When our earthly journey ends I am sure Lorene will be somewhere near Heavens Eastern Gate waiting to welcome us home also.
She was a daughter to the late Delno and Elsie Wilson, sister to Geraldine Coomer, Doyle Wilson, and Katie Wilson, the late Ardis Wilson, Arless Wilson, Bob Wilson, and Glenda Muse; niece to Nathan Meeks and Lois King; wife to the late Richard Arlen Hutcherson; mother to Nancy (Roger) Rominger, and Connie (Doug) Billing; grandmother to Lindsey (Clinton) Bearden, Seth Billing and Kenlee Billing, great-grandmother to Trace Cole Bearden. She was an aunt to many, whom she loved them very much. Lorene was a special buddy to her great nephew, Tycen Cash Lucas Wilson.
A visitation will be on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 3-5 at Rollins Funeral Home. Her funeral will be on Monday at 11am at the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, with a burial to follow in Fayetteville National Cemetery.
