Dear Bob and Patti and all of Lorraine's Family:
My thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of Lorraine. I probably first got to know her when Riley had his insurance office in my Dad's building and also know she and my Mom were both in Eastern Star. She was always friendly and kind and I enjoyed talking with her. It meant a lot to me to see her and visit with her at the Masonic service when my Dad passed away. I hope you will treasure the memories you have of her. May God be with all of you at this time.
Sincerely,
Martha (Risberg) Heisel

Dear Family and Friends of Britta's,
How can I say more than Don Hamblin; what a beautiful eulogy for a good solid woman. Too few people have her sense of right and wrong and her inner core of strength. Britta stood by what she said, you could trust that. Her love for the outdoors, her love for small critters and her love for people was amazing to me. Yes, there was that stern look, but then there was that smile that was so kind. I won't forget Britta, I will carry her as one of those special people in my memories, someone I admired and I want to be like.
I do not sorrow; she worked very hard, lived a good life and I am sure in my heart that she rests well with our loving Lord right now.

To the Holland and Carlson families: So sorry to hear of Britta's passing. She and my mom Hazel Rang were friends and neighbors for years, and I remember going with Mom to visit Britta on the farm. Mom especially liked chickens and ducks and farm animals in general, so they shared a common interest. I don't remember much about their conversations, but I do remember that they enjoyed each others' company. My sincere sympathy goes out to you.

I am so glad that i could spend the moments i had with Britta. So many great stories she'd always share. I suppose I've yet to meet a woman that has endured so many hardships and lived with so few regrets. A woman that always greeted me with a stern look and a hidden smile. I remember her always encouraging me to learn sewing, and her sales pitch that it wasn't only for girls, and I most certainly owe my few skills to her inspiration. Most of all, I recall cleaning the barn or filling the wood box up because she'd asked for the help, and often being rewarded with the most amazing peanut butter fudge. She was a kind and strong woman and one who's dedication and influence inspired many people.

To Lois and all the Holland and Carlson families in Hayward.
We were very saddened to hear of Britta's passing. We were only able to be with her a few times over the past 70 years, but we always enjoyed our time with our Swedish cousin.
