I am deeply saddened by your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Louie during the Shuttle program he taught me a lot about motion picture cameras and how we did things for the documentation of the space program. He was a gem and loved his skating ! I will hold him in my thoughts and prayers, until we meet again my friend R.I.P.

Dear Angele and Family,
I was very saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved husband and dear father/ grandfather "Pops." This past March, after many years, I had the honor to be in his company. It was very easy to be with him even as he was suffering he did so with amazing grace. He smiled and made pleasant conversation and made me feel like a treasured guest in his home. What a joy to be made to feel so special in the eyes of one who is truly so special and blessed. The little time I shared with him was one of those heaven on earth moments that I will not forget. What a gift he gave me and shared with the world.. Angele, with the biggest heart, what beautiful care you took of him, you too are a blessing.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Fathers house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? John 14 : 1-2
He has taken his place, the one that was always there for him. God bless you all and God bless the soul of your dearest husband and father /grandfather Louis.
Love, MaryAnne , Wally and Family

The very first guy I ever skated with was Pops. All these years later, I am so honored that he would accept me into his lovely family with open arms and trust me with his son's heart. His wonderful example of kindness, honesty, and a caring heart will live on in our lives as we carry out his legacy to the next generation. We love and miss your precious heart! Godspeed Pops!

I grew up with the Roquevert family and worked at the rink on Merritt Island. The world lost one of the last of his kind. Genuinely kind and dedicated to his wife and children as well as his community. I love you Pops, shuffle skate your way thru the pearly gates my friend.

My dearest Uncle, I will always remember you. Uncle Louie gave me my first dollar bill when I was six years old. He was always willing to listen and I loved to make him laugh. Whenever I needed a dance partner Uncle Louie never hesitated to hop up on his feet and dance with me. So, so many memories I wish I could share. Rest In Peace. Love always, Jeannie

The Lloyd family was graced by Louie's presence in our lives. As someone else said, he skated into our lives, literally, meeting my sister Janice and me that way. When he moved into the neighborhood, we were once again blessed by him. May you all find comfort in our blessed God during this loss, until you see Louie again.

As I read the quote in the obituary, I couldn't help but realize, never did I see a frown, never did I hear an unkind word from our sweet Pops. Keep on jumping, spinning, and rolling Pops. I'll hold the many memories of you close to my heart. So very sorry for your beautiful family and the loss they are experiencing at this time.

Uncle Louie was the epitome of calm, loving, steadfastness with a true zest for living life. His presence on this earth will be missed but never forgotten as I look back on only fond memories of years past....so many of them comical and light hearted with no lack of detailed space program stories. The world was blessed to have him in it for these 91 years. My love, prayers and thoughts are with Angel, Christian, BIll, and Greg (and all extended families, friends, relatives) as they honor him for a life well lived and the unfailing love he has given to all.

He was a wonderful man in every way. The world is a better place because he graced us with his presence, his laughter, his sense of humor, his ready smile and his interesting stories about life as a space photographer at the Cape. He will be missed and memorialized by all as a very unique and special man. God bring comfort to his family as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
