DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Louis "T-Neg" Gary, Sr., age 74, at 2:30 pm Friday September 24, 2010 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Herb Bennerfield officiating. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of Delcambre from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary to be recited during the evening visitation. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time. A native of Iberia Parish and resident of Erath, Mr. Gary passed away at 10:25 am on Wednesday September 22, 2010 at his residence.

Louis, known by family and friends as "T-Neg", was retired from Abbeville General Hospital. He worked 25 years starting as an orderly and last was a security guard.

He loved tending to the many farm animals that he raised, especially his horses. Most importantly, he loved the time spent with his family.

He was a devoted husband, father, grand and great grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna Lee Peltier Gary; sons, Louis "Edward" Gary, Jr. and wife Phyllis of Erath, Darrell J. Garry and wife Pam of Abbeville, Robert L. Gary and wife Paula of Erath, Clarence J. Gary and companion Barbara of Erath, and Rusty J. Gary and wife Leslie of Lydia; daughters, Miriam A. Duplantis and husband Jim of New Iberia, Cheryl A. LeBlanc of Erath, Bonnie M. Thibodeaux and Artie of Erath, and Connie L. Moreaux and husband Chris of New Iberia; Brothers Raymond Romero of New Iberia, Adam Gary, Jr. of New Iberia, Jimmy Gary of New Iberia, and Gerald Gary, Sr. of New Iberia; sister, Joyce Dore of New Iberia, 21 Grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery P. Gary; parents, Adam and Nolia Maturin Gary; sister, Lou Anna Boudreaux; and granddaughter, Jami Lyn Gary.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Gary, Jr., Darrell Gary, Robert Gary, Rusty Gary, Bradley Gary, and Jason Moreaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Evan Gary, Raymond Romero, Adam Gary, Jimmy Gary, Gerald Gary, and Clareance Gary.
