Louis E. Burnett, Sr., 93, of Richmond, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017. He was retired from General Motors and a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Highland Springs. Louis served in the U.S. Army during World War II in an artillery unit. He is preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Alice Morrell Burnett. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Louis E. Burnett, Jr. (Karen), Walter E. Burnett (Pam), Thomas L. Burnett, and John C. Burnett (Jenny); 10 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, 811 W. Nine Mile Rd., Highland Springs, Va. 23075, where a funeral mass will take place on Monday, August 14, at 11 a.m.

To the Burnett family I'm so sorry for your loss... but.... Mr. Burnett is in Heven with my father (Phil Nase)watching football... Mr. Burnett is watching the games some but mostly laughing at my father.... Mrs. Burnett and my mother (Natalie) are cooking, laughing and talking... Those days are truly missed already. My friends; Tommy,Lou, Gene and Chris. All of my prayers and wishes to all of your family to honor your Dad's passing into God's World. I am unable to attend the services due that to earlier surgery i can not drive for more then 15 minutes. God has Blessed us all.
