Our sincere sympathy to the Acierno family for their loss.
Lou and I were classmates from 1st grade thru 12, then 45 years went by without contact. We moved to Melbourne and surprisingly we get a call from Lou, so we get up to date with each other and for the next 10 plus years we developed a strong friendship. We would have great conversations, solve the World's problems, relive our past, laugh and enjoy each others company along with our wives Marilyn and Joyce. Lou will be missed by his family and a lot of others. God Bless, rest in peace. The Gould's

How blessed we are to have had such a special friend in our lives. Lou's caring ways, optimism, sense of humor, and love for others has been ever present. His complete dedication to his high school class, JMHS 55, and the countless hours he spent as Gulliver, helping us to “keep in touch”, will always be treasured. Our hearts go out to Marilyn and his dear family... we are richer for having known Lou and will carry him in our hearts until we all meet again. God Bless...

I will miss my brother-in-law so very much. When I was going through bad times, he was always there to listen and to lift my spirits. He could always make me smile no matter what. He was a special guy. But everyone that knew him already knows that.

I am so saddened by the passing of our dear friend. My late husband Todd and I spent countless happy hours going out with Lou and Marilyn for dinner. For over thirty years, Todd and I treasured our good times with the Acierno family----and they were all good times. My love, thoughts, and prayers go out to Marilyn, Mary Anne, and the entire family. Lou was a great person in every way, a blessing to all who knew and loved him, and he will be missed.

I remember all of the good times with Lou in high school. We were in the school band and marched in many parades on Memorial Day In Rochester. We went to all the school dances with our dates along with Frank, Jim and Teddy. We both bought our first cars at the same time and went to Westminister on News Eve as we were both now 18 yrs.old and could drink a alcoholic beverage. That was 1954.
Our Prayers and thoughts are with the family. He will missed for all the work he did for our schools web site.
