During the Christmas season you often found Louis making Christmas fudge and cookies, a tradition that he has passed down. Louis and Betty Lou liked to travel and became Winter Texans for many years. I am so sad to hear about Mr. Bauer's passing. He will always be in my heart and in the heart of the entire Winney family. He was such a joyful man. I rarely pulled into our driveway next door without seeing Mr. Bauer out in that awesome garden (when it was warm enough!) I am keeping Mrs. Bauer and all kids and grandkids in our prayers. God Bless You Mr Bauer and family!

I respected and liked Mr. Bauer from the moment I met him in 1969. - I still call him "Mr. Bauer." He and Mrs. Bauer raised such a wonderful family! I have never forgotten the positive attitude with which he threw himself into work around the Bauer home while temporarily laid off. If it didn't move Mr. Bauer organized it, cleaned it and/or painted it. He was driven to be helpful and productive for his FAMILY at all times. - What an incredible example for his Family and friends!

When you consider what a valuable and honorable life Mr. Bauer led you have to know he is with God, who is looking and smiling directly at him saying "well done" and welcome home.

My prayers and thoughts are with the Bauer Family,

Sincerely,

Larry Day

We have lost a great gentleman and father. I have lots of memories, but 2 of them are Mr. Bauer up in a tree on Halloween, waving huge sheets as if to imitate ghosts. All of us kids were so frightened! Much later in his life, he and Betty Lou were on a trip sponsored by the Senior Center. My Mom and I were also on that trip. His blue eyes and smile were still there, and we enjoyed the trip together. Louie, you will live forever in our hearts and prayers.

Your father was a true example of what it means to be a father and grandfather. We enjoyed his presence at soccer games, cross country events and barbeques in the backyard at the Stone's home. He was blessed to have the caring and loving support of his children and grandchildren as life became more difficult. God's blessings and prayers for your entire family.

Cousin Kay Rayment

So sorry to hear about the loss of one of my favorite cousins, I have many fun memories of the times I spent at the homestead on Broadway. I especially remember the time he lit a firecracker and scared Ottis and I and how hard he laughed when we couldn't get out the door. He was always fun to be around. God is taking care of him now, may he rest in peace. You are in my prayers
