Louis Clarence "Honey" Guidroz passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 7, 2018 at the age of 97. Born July 17, 1920 in Westwego, Louisiana to the late Clarence and Augusta Guidroz, L.C. was a lifelong resident of Westwego who admirably served in the Army during WWII from 1940 to 1945. A loyal member of the Westbank Cajun Heritage Foundation and the American Legion Post #206, and a life time member of the Volunteer Westwego Fire Department. L.C. was a dedicated employee to both Celotex Company for nineteen years, and Jefferson Parish Water Department for twelve years. L.C. was a man with a fantastic sense of humor, who loved traveling with his late wife Bertha Laverne Tabb-Guidroz, the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee being among his favorite destinations. Survived by his two children, Richard Louis Guidroz (Margie) and Linda Catherine Guidroz; grandchildren, Richie Yoho (Monica), Randy Yoho (Erin), Stacey Barbier (Kevin), and Leslie Gaudet III (Jamie); Great grandchildren, Kathryn Feeney (Matt), Gregg Yoho (Sierra), Matt Yoho, Cheyenne Gaudet, Allie Barbier, and Princeton Gaudet; One great-great grandchild, Baby Feeney. L.C. is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Templet. The Guidroz family would like to extend their great appreciation for the staff at Notre Dame Hospice, with a special thank you to Ms. C and Ms. Debra for their compassion and love. Friends of the family are encouraged to attend funeral services at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home located at 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A funeral service will be held in the chapel from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Monday, February 12, 2018. A visitation will be held from 9:00am-1:00pm.
