Obituary

KANOPKIN, LOUIS, 97, died Monday, February 25, 2013 in Canton, MA.  He was the husband of the late Ida (Kaplan) Kanopkin.  Born in Providence, RI, he was a son of the late David and Dora (Spiegel) Kanopkin. Mr. Kanopkin was an Army Veteran of WWII.  He worked at Valley Gas Company for 35 years before retiring at the age of 65. He is survived by his son, Philip Kanopkin and his wife, Susan; son-in-law, Thomas Anderson and grandchildren, Rebecca Anderson, Eric Kanopkin and Deena Kanopkin.  He was the father of the late Sandra Anderson and brother of the late Bella Harriet, Rose Dwares, William Kanopkin and...


KANOPKIN, LOUIS, 97, died Monday, February 25, 2013 in Canton, MA.  He was the husband of the late Ida (Kaplan) Kanopkin.  Born in Providence, RI, he was a son of the late David and Dora (Spiegel) Kanopkin.



Mr. Kanopkin was an Army Veteran of WWII.  He worked at Valley Gas Company for 35 years before retiring at the age of 65.



He is survived by his son, Philip Kanopkin and his wife, Susan; son-in-law, Thomas Anderson and grandchildren, Rebecca Anderson, Eric Kanopkin and Deena Kanopkin.  He was the father of the late Sandra Anderson and brother of the late Bella Harriet, Rose Dwares, William Kanopkin and Benjamin Kanopky.



His funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Samuel Priest Chapel in Lincoln Park Cemetery at 10:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to the Amyloidosis Foundation, 7151 North Main Street, Suite 2, Clarkston, MI 48346.  Shiva will be private.
