Patterson, Louis Winfield August 28, 1925 – October 4, 2012 Louis Winfield Patterson, formerly of Tulsa, Muskogee, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on October 4, 2012, in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Parker Williams Patterson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his wife Susan Pierce Patterson and their son, David Edward Patterson of Rockford, Illinois. He is survived by his children, Steven Thomas Patterson and his wife, Elizabeth Simpson Patterson, of Kerrville, Texas, and Reynolds West Patterson and his wife, Teresa Arnold Patterson, of Plano, Texas. Louis Winfield Patterson, formerly of Tulsa, Muskogee, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on October 4, 2012, in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Parker Williams Patterson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his wife Susan Pierce Patterson and their son, David Edward Patterson of Rockford, Illinois. He is survived by his children, Steven Thomas Patterson and his wife, Elizabeth Simpson Patterson, of Kerrville, Texas, and Reynolds West Patterson and his wife, Teresa Arnold Patterson, of Plano, Texas. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Janice Hines Patterson Roberman and her husband Charles Harold Roberman, of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Thomas Winfield Patterson of Rochester, New York, Andrew Edward Patterson and his wife Meghan McAllister Patterson of Austin, Texas, Christopher Warren Patterson and his wife Sara Katheleen Kilroy of Boston, Massachusetts, and Claudia Gagen Patterson of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by great-grandsons, Cody Parker Patterson and Caleb Joseph Patterson of Austin, Texas.
He was a graduate of Oklahoma A & M University (Oklahoma State University), where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering in 1947. Upon graduation, he joined Patterson Steel Company in Tulsa where he worked with his father, uncle and cousins until the company was sold in 1969. He held other operations management positions as an executive with Muskogee Iron Works, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Robberson Steel Company and Capital Steel Company, both in Oklahoma City.
He was a long time member of Rotary International including memberships in Tulsa, Muskogee, Oklahoma City, and Dallas. He was also a member of several professional engineering organizations. The Burial Service will be Monday, October 8, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at 1:30 PM. Arrangements for a Memorial Service are pending. Please check the web-site for updates.
