Louis Edward "Ed" Siniff of Spokane Valley passed away August 14, 2014. He was born May 20, 1930 in Great Falls, MT. Ed graduated from the University of Montana with Honors and got his MBA from the University of Chicago. He was predeceased by his first spouse, "Kay" Peterson Siniff, in 1968. They had three children. In 1970 he married Jennet Wagstaff Atkinson and her four children. Two years later they had a son together. Ed served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955 on the USS Menard APA201 and in Guam as an electrical engineer. Louis Edward "Ed" Siniff of Spokane Valley passed away August 14, 2014. He was born May 20, 1930 in Great Falls, MT. Ed graduated from the University of Montana with Honors and got his MBA from the University of Chicago. He was predeceased by his first spouse, "Kay" Peterson Siniff, in 1968. They had three children. In 1970 he married Jennet Wagstaff Atkinson and her four children. Two years later they had a son together. Ed served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955 on the USS Menard APA201 and in Guam as an electrical engineer. He worked on a farm; at his father's store in Great Falls; Anaconda Copper Co., Great Falls; US Steel Reduction Co.; and Kaiser Aluminum-Mead as a General Foreman. Ed and Jennet owned and operated "Jennet's Cinnamon Rolls" a local bakery and café. He was a Boy Scout as a young person and a long time Boy Scout leader, serving many years as a Cub Master of various packs and other positions. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a member of a Masonic Lodge and was a Son of the Montana Pioneers. Ed is survived by Jennet, his loving wife of 44 years, and their eight children and spouses. Kevin & Karon Atkinson of Boise, ID; Joyce & John Hawkins of Spokane, WA; Laura & Roger Shirley of Vancouver, WA; Alan & Erin Siniff of North Liberty, IA; Lynette & Robert Stroh of Newman Lake, WA; Darcy & Dirk Zenger of Farmington, UT; Daniel & Julynne Atkinson of Sandy, UT; and Timothy Louis Siniff of Sandy, UT. Ed also leaves 30 grandchildren and 35+ great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley. Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 11:00am at the LDS Foothills Chapel, 5322 N. Evergreen in Spokane Valley WA.
