Louise Bell (Farris) Campbell Boyd Anderson, 94, of Afton, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Shenandoah House. She was born in Nelson county on January 27,1922, a daughter of the late Albert Wesley and Ollie (Fitzgerald) Farris.
Louise was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church. She retired as a Lead Lady at ConAgra Foods. Louise greatly enjoyed gardening, knitting, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husbands, Everett Campbell, Sr., Edgar Boyd, and Homer Anderson; eight siblings, Norman Farris, Veron Farris, Windell Farris, Thurman Farris, Albert Farris, Jr., James Farris, Atta Farris and Novella Layton.
Survivors include her sons, Everett Campbell, Jr. and wife, Judy, Bruce Campbell and wife, Joanne; her loving daughter and caregiver, Shirley Wade and husband, Jimmy; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Fitzgerald; special friend, Ann Taylor; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Mt. Paran Baptist Church, 7140 Irish Creek Road, Vesuvius, VA with Pastors Fred Salmons and Billy Coffey officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, James Wade, Jr., Rick Fields, Hunter Fields, Mike Campbell, Glenn Wright and Matt Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and members of Mt. Paran Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, and other times to call Everett's or Shirley's home for other times.
Memorial Donations may be made in Louise's memory to the Augusta Health Foundation, c/o Hospice of the Shenandoah, P.O. Box 100, Fishersville, VA 22939.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Shenandoah House, Kathy, Mark, Laura, Sharon, Carolyn, Elaine, Bernice, Patty, Katie, Annette, Jackie, Gary, Jody, Pam and Kelly; as well as thank you to Angie for all the joy you brought to Louise and special nurse, Sherri Jones.
