Louise Flegal Erreca, 87 years of age and a native resident of San Diego, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2013. Louise attended Sweetwater High School and graduated with the class of 1944; thereafter she attended what is now San Diego State University. As a progressive woman, she managed to balance a full life personally and professionally. She worked full-time, raised her young family, volunteered on a regular basis and was the consummate helper to all. She worked for Sears for five years and served roles as Office Manager, Secretary and Treasurer for 25 years at the family-owned business, Erreca's Inc. Additionally, as a business owner she managed and worked at the Village Togs Dress Shop in Bonita for seven years. Louise served as Cub Scout Den Mother, Brownie and Girl Scout Team Leader, Little League and Pop Warner Team Mom, and Cheerleader Mom. Her home was quite naturally the neighborhood magnet for children and friends of all ages. Parties and barbecues were her specialties. When she wasn't juggling her busy work/home/volunteer life, she exercised her creative and artistic passion for making intricate ceramic dolls and other figurines. In later years she raised French bulldogs Juliet and Johnny, which she fondly referred to as her other "kids." Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she gave to others as generously as Kris Kringle himself.
Louise was the loving wife of Charles M. Erreca for 62 years, and together they had two children: Scott C. Erreca, and Charmaine Erreca Bridwell, now deceased. Louise is survived by her husband, Charles; her son, Scott; and grandchildren Katie Erreca, Brett Erreca and Josh Bridwell; her brother Clarence Flegal and wife Libby of Provo, Utah with their family of five nieces/nephews Sharon, Tina, Gay, Linda, Lisa and Kurt; along with 31 grand-nieces/nephews; and 52 great-grand-nieces/nephews.
The Erreca family would like to honor Louise and share in the celebration of her life at the memorial service at Glen Abbey's Chapel of the Roses, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902 on Friday, March 29 at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, CA from 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., and all are encouraged to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests tax deductible donations to the San Diego Zoo, P.O Box 120551, San Diego, CA 92112, with notation: "in honor of Louise Erreca."

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to all of the Erreca family. I only wish I could be there to honor Louise's memory. Many years ago I was priviledged to get to know Louise while staying with her and Charlie. What a fine lady and loving host. She made me feel so welcome and reminded me of my own loving mother. I wish you a grand journey Louise.
