Obituary

She was born on June 6, 1924 in Stigler, OK. To Rita King Mann & Boyd S. Mann. Louise was raised on a farm which was a two hundred acre land grant to her mother who was a full blood Choctaw Indian. Louise was very proud of her Native American heritage. In 1945 she moved to Los Angeles and worked in the Aircraft Industry for 20 years as an electronic technician. After that she worked in retail sales, retiring from Sav-On Drug in 1984. She moved to Modesto the same year to be near her mother and sister. Louise had 7 sibling, 5 which are now deceased: Beatrice Dupler, Panhandle, TX., Verleen Huffman, Glendale, CA., Leldon Mann, Balico,...

In 1945 she moved to Los Angeles and worked in the Aircraft Industry for 20 years as an electronic technician. After that she worked in retail sales, retiring from Sav-On Drug in 1984. She moved to Modesto the same year to be near her mother and sister. Louise had 7 sibling, 5 which are now deceased: Beatrice Dupler, Panhandle, TX., Verleen Huffman, Glendale, CA., Leldon Mann, Balico, CA., Bob Mann, Butte, MT., Bill Mann, Abilene, TX. Remaining siblings are Priscilla Bowman, Modesto, CA. and Cecil Mann, Breckenridge, TX.

She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews whom she adored. "Aunt Weez"

Louise loved to knit, work cross word puzzles and go to Black Oak Casino with Priscilla.

Louise was a member of First Congregational Church of Salida. She loved her church family, but was too ill to attend for the last few years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to or St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT. 59004.

Visitation is Monday, 4-8pm, June 23, 2014 at Lakewood Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service, Tuesday, 2pm, June 24, 2014 at Lakewood Memorial Park in Peacevale Garden. Online guest book available at www.lakewoodhughson.com
