Lourrene 'Mickey' Elaine Mickel Briggs, 86, of Bentonville passed away, Monday September 24, 2012.
She was born in Dighton, KS on December 25, 1925 to Robert Roy and Bessie Elaine Jewett Mickel. Lourrene married Homer Briggs on March 15, 1948 in Fayetteville, AR. Lourrene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one grandchild, and one great grand-child.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Baird and spouse Kenneth of Bella Vista, AR, Diana Bell of Fayetteville, Carolyn Barron and husband Danny of Bentonville, AR; Four sons Jerry and wife Carol of Holt, Fl, Robert Briggs and wife Joan of Centerton, AR, Lee Briggs and wife Tish of Tontitown, AR and David Briggs of Bella Vista, AR; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and one brother Ronald Mickel and wife Helen of Little Rock, AR.
Lourrene was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by all.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 28 at 10:00 AM at Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel in Bentonville. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 27 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Callison-Lough Funeral Home. Interment will be in Oakley Chapel Cemetery in Rogers.
