Loyce M. Ackerman, 89, of Pekin, Illinois, died Tuesday evening, February 18, 2014 at Pekin Hospital in Pekin, Illinois. She was born on November 20, 1924 in Fox, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Jeff Ware and Gertrude (Max) Morris. She married Jack T. Ackerman on August 3, 1946 in Mountain View, Arkansas, he preceded her in death on November 18, 2010 in Pekin, Illinois. She is also preceded in death by one infant son, one daughter, Jackie Stoecker, three brothers and six sisters. Loyce is survived by two daughters, Shelbie (Rick) Linton of Van Alstyne, Texas and Kathy Hagerdorn of Tremont, Illinois. She is survived by four...

Loyce is survived by two daughters, Shelbie (Rick) Linton of Van Alstyne, Texas and Kathy Hagerdorn of Tremont, Illinois. She is survived by four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and one sister, Ruby Berry of Arkansas.
She was a member of the Pekin Bible Church. Loyce was an accomplished seamstress.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Davison Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin, Illinois. The Rev. Chuck Tate will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in the Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
