Lucille Bortz, age 84, of Jensen Beach, Fl, passed away on October 4, 2010, at Martin Memorial Medical Center North in Stuart.
Born to Clifford and Maude Hotchkiss in Fredericksburg, PA, she moved to Jensen Beach, Florida permanently in 1983 from Meadville, PA, after many years of being a "snowbird". She was a homemaker that loved to cook, garden, and take walks on the beach. Lucille was a gifted painter, and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Jensen Beach, the Eastern Star, and Beta Sigma Phi.
Lucille is survived by her daughters, Linda Bortz Greene of Jensen Beach, FL, and Rebecca Ribb, and her husband Mark, of Jensen Beach, FL,and grandchildren Hallie and Kyle Ribb. She was preceded in death by her husband William A. Bortz; brothers Lawrence and Willard Hotchkiss; and sister Marian Mohoney.
A celebration of Lucille's life will be held at 11:00AM, on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2221 N.E. Savannah Road, Jensen Beach, FL 34957.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 2701 North Australian Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
