Lucy was born on August 28, 1928 in Minturno, Italy. She came to this country when she was 8 years old and grew up in Yonkers, New York. In her late teens and early twenties, she worked as a telephone operator at New York Telephone. Lucy was married to Eugene Negri on November 4, 1956. Later, she moved to Croton-on-Hudson with Eugene. Lucy was a Croton resident for about 42 years, where they raised their family. In her life, she touched many lives through her work at her childrens' schools and Elliots Department store. She was an active member of the Holy Name of Mary church community where she taught religious education. She was actively involved in Little League, Girl Scouts, the Croton Pointers Club and the Croton Children's Theater. Lucy loved sewing, quilting, gardening, crafting, knitting, crocheting, cooking, traveling with her husband and spending time with her family. In addition to raising five children of her own, she was a mother to many. Lucy had a gift of bringing people together. She believed that there was always enough for everyone and she opened her heart and home to all.
