Luella Kokel Garza, age 93, passed into eternity December 23, 2014. Luella died quietly after a brief battle with pneumonia.
Born Luella Cora Irene Kokel April 16, 1921 to Herman and Cora Kokel in Wallburg, TX. She moved to Austin to work and met her husband, S. H. "Jimmie" Garza. Luella loved to bake and spent many hours sewing. She was mother to three children, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, S. H. "Jimmie" Garza, son, Jimmie R. Garza, a granddaughter, Kristina Garza, her parents and several brothers and sisters. Luella is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Rainosek and husband Larry, and Rose Trigg and husband Bill. Grandchildren: Mark Rainosek, Shannon Hurley (Patrick), Roseanna Christopherson (Casey), Michelle Schoppe (Tim), Amy Garza, and Jarrett Grozier (Jennifer). Also, her brother Charles Kokel, sister-in-law Jean Kokel, brother-in-law Benny Rivera, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank a dear friend, Sherry Wukasch for the friendship she extended to our Mother; also, Elisabeth Kokel and Andy Rainosek for the many things they did for our Mom. Luella will be greatly missed by her daughters, family and friends.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 1 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1207 West 45th St. Austin, Texas 78756. Interment will be at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.

Your mother and I used to wait outside of Trinity for our children to come out of school. I will always remember her as a kind and sweet lady. I know that the Lord Almighty is Happy to have her in Heaven now. God Bless you Dorothy. Both you, your family, and Jimmy's family.
