Newfane, VT Luetta Holden, age 90 passed away Sunday Feb. 23, 2014 at Equinox Terrace, Manchester, VT. She was born in Newfane, VT on May 31, 1923 the daughter of Millard and Pearl J. (Daniel) Martin. She had attended school in Newfane and Brattleboro High School. On May 31, 1944 she was married to Fred J. Holden. Luetta had worked at the CE Bradley Co. in Brattleboro and Margolians Pocket Book Factory. She afterwards moved to Springfield where she worked at the Gear Shaper factory. Luetta Holden, age 90 passed away Sunday Feb. 23, 2014 at Equinox Terrace, Manchester, VT. She was born in Newfane, VT on May 31, 1923 the daughter of Millard and Pearl J. (Daniel) Martin. She had attended school in Newfane and Brattleboro High School. On May 31, 1944 she was married to Fred J. Holden. Luetta had worked at the CE Bradley Co. in Brattleboro and Margolians Pocket Book Factory. She afterwards moved to Springfield where she worked at the Gear Shaper factory. She later moved back to Newfane and worked for Mary Meyer Mfg. in Townshend for 20 years. After her retirement from Mary Meyer Luetta was a friend and caregiver to Hiram Russ of Jamaica. Luetta was a member of the West Townshend Seventh Day Adventist Church. Some of her greatest enjoyments were traveling, spending time with family and friends, and her little dog Nellie.

Luetta is survived by her two sons, Norman Holden and his wife Maureen of Newfane, Larry Holden of Newfane; her brother Millard Martin of Newfane and her sister Helen Pennell of Brattleboro; her brother in Law, Benjamin Bell of Guilford;
Her two grandchildren, Hilary Holden of Boston MA. Jesse Holden of Newfane, her Great Granddaughter, Mariah Matyas of Newfane and several Nieces and Nephews. She also leaves her close friend Deborah and her huband John Clayton of Jamaica.
She was predeceased by her Husband Fred Holden in 1973, her two sons, Fred Holden, Jr. in 1971, and Wayne Holden in 1982; her Brother, Joseph Martin and her sister Frances Bell.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Newfane at a later date to be announced.
