Luis Bertran Cabrera age 70 of Lake Worth, Florida passed away peacefully on February 26, 2014 with his family at his bedside. Luis was born on October 11, 1943 in Canton el Caco, El salvador to his eagerly awaiting parents, the late Mr. Jose de Jesus Cabrera and the late Mrs. Maria Martina Guzman. In later years, Luis moved to the United States of America to begin a new life for his family as Naturalized American Citizen's. Luis was a very hardworking and honest man, earning his pay as a Mason in the Construction Industry for most of his life. He was a devout Catholic and attended Mass on Sunday with his family at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lake Worth, Florida. His greatest love was his family and he couldn't help but love the fact; that there were so many children and grandchildren to keep his time occupied with all of the love and patience that he kept inside for each and every child in his life. He was truly blessed by this great virtue of being the "Papi" for all of his children and grandchildren. For you see Luis lived up to the words found in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." He leaves behind to forever cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Antonia Cabrera; his eighteen loved children, Hector Cabrera, Maria D. Cabrera, Jose S. Cabrera, Ramon Cabrera, Francisco Cabrera, Carmen Hosein, Carolina Alvarado, Freddy Cabrera, Manuel Cabrera, Reina Cabrera, Elsa Cabrera, Ana Cruz, Martina Sanchez, Maria G. Luna, Juan B. Cabrera, Gladys Cabrera, Isabel Cruz and Reina Garcia; his two admired brothers, Lucio Cabrera and Antonio Cabrera; five adored sisters, Colomba Aguilar, Marina Molina, Angela Cano, Carmen Cabrera de Villatoro and Ana Cabrera de Majano; and thirty seven treasured grandchildren. Family and friends will gather and pay respects from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2014 at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation & Event Center at Hillcrest, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405, (561) 833-4061. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 425 North "M" Street, Lake Worth, Florida 33460, (561) 582-4736 with Father Norbert Jean Pierre the Celebrant. Catholic Burial Rites will follow on the grounds of Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405, (561) 582-4131.
