Services for Mrs. Lula Mae Jackson will be held Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park. Dr. Tom Sikes will be officiating.
Mrs. Jackson, 94, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was the retired longtime owner of Jackson Flowers which opened in 1958. She had received numerous honors in the floral industry including Past President of the MS Florist and Nurserymans Assoc., Past President of the MS Tele-florist Assoc. and the Gold Medal Assoc. of Montgomery, AL.
Survivors include her son, Joe Jackson and his wife Rita of Meridian, grandchildren, Jon Jackson and his wife Stacey, Jolie Carle and her husband Jimmy and Alexandra Riess all of Meridian.
She is also survived by great grandchildren Alexa Carle, Austin Carle, Jackson Florey, Addie Florey, brother, W.R. Clearman of Pascagoula, MS and sister in law Jeanette Clearman of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Sara Jane Clearman, husband, J.A. Jackson, brothers, Howard Clearman, Herman Clearman, Deb Clearman, and sisters, Daisy Ashcraft and Lorene Fong.
Pallbearers will be Jon Jackson, Jimmy Carle, Herman Clearman, Aaron Boling, George Ranager, Mark Carter and Tim Carter.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 5pm to 8 pm at Stephens Funeral Home.
