Lyda Beatrice Abernathy, age 92, of the Shores Community, died on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Christian Care of Rutherford County in Smyrna, TN.
She was born in the Shores Community on December 13, 1920, her parents were the late Jim and Mamie Ruth Locke Randall, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Butler Abernathy.
Visitation will begin at 10AM until 2:30PM Saturday, at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home, with graveside services at 3PM at the Shores Church of Christ Cemetery on Saturday.
Memorials may be made to Shores Church of Christ.
Survivors are: son, James Abernathy and wife Mattie of LaVergne, TN, granddaughters, Jinny Carson and husband Nate and Emily Louvinduski and husband Justin, 1 great grandchild.
Carr & Erwin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
