Obituary

Lydia Ruth Carr, 73, of Palm Bay died Friday, (8/1) at her home. A native of Orlando she came to Palm Bay in 1968 from Georgia. Lydia had worked for Storage Tech as a materials planner for several years and then for Hallmark Cards. One of her favorite hobbies was creating greeting cards. She was an avid reader, loved to swim and also loved her cats, but more importantly, she loved her family. She was an Episcopalian by faith.

Survivors include her son: John (Donna) of Melbourne; daughters: Debbie (David) Bistarkey of Micco, Chris (Joe) Hackford of Indialantic; brother: Alfred "Fred" (Connie) Pearson of Tampa; sister: Madeline (David) Snyder of Utah; grandchildren: Jason, Jennifer, Lindsey, Branden, Ashleigh, Alex, Taryn; and great-grandchildren: Blane and Bryce.

The family suggests that for those who wish to honor their mother that a remembrance is made to a charity of personal choice.
