She is survived by her husband, Dr. Edgardo Medina, her in-laws Nenita, Francis (Linda), Teresita (Ed), Irma (Rodrigo), Antonio, Jr.(Vicky), Cynthia (Roberto), Jojo (Milet) and Albert; and her siblings Teresita, Restituto (Van), and Enrico (Beth), and numerous nephews and nieces.

Women's University, Manila, Philippines and came to Canada in 1969. She has worked in various hospitals and at Oshawa General Hospital until she retired two years ago.
Lydia will be best remembered for her devotion to Ed, her zest for life and travel and, her utmost love of cooking savoured by not only her family but those of her very many friends and colleagues.
Her family would like to extend their most sincere appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff at the Lakeridge Health Centre, for the kind and compassionate care they have given her.

Viewing at Courtice Funeral Chapel, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484) is scheduled on Thursday, June 28th from 7 to 9 p.m., and again on Friday, June 29th from 2 to 4 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m., when a small celebration of her life is planned.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 30th at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Therese Roman Catholic Church, 3800 Courtice Road North, Courtice, Ontario.
Donations can be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Lakeridge Cancer Centre, Oshawa.
