Lyle Jack Cunningham

Cunningham, Lyle J - Of Springport, formerly of Concord, passed away at age 86 Monday June 11, 2012 at Allegiance Hospice Home with family by his side. Surviving are his children, Nancy (Bernie) Kehret of Pinetop, AZ, Jo Ann (John) Kasprzycki of Bedford, IN, Jean (Fawwaz Ulaby) Cunningham of Ann Arbor, John (Jill Mitchell) Cunningham of Concord and Don (Nancy) Cunningham of Lake Odessa; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Margaret, parents John and Laura, son Larry and brother Clyde.

Lyle was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church for 66 years, member of the Concord School Board, very active in 4-H where he was a leader, former President for the Michigan Cattlemen's Association, Member of the Michigan Farmers Hall of Fame, and co-owner with his wife of MarLyle Farms. He was a farmer through and through. He loved family gatherings, fishing and traveling.

Family will receive friends at the Concord United Methodist Church on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday at Concord United Methodist Church 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Melany Chalker officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Concord United Methodist Church, the 4-H Foundation or MSU Department of Agriculture.
