Lynn Elizabeth Livingston (nee Hottman); was born on July 15,1957 in Baltimore Maryland. She attended Frostburg University receiving her BA in Business Administration. Later, she attended York College, Wilson College in Pennsylvania. This education allowed Lynn to fulfill a calling to teach children. She worked in various capacities in early child hood in Pennsylvania. This included the Director for U-Grow Messiah Lifeways; Director of New Creation Station Child Care Early Learning Center. Lynn also was the children's activities director at the Strasburg- Heisler Library. All of her work with children was gratifying and meaningful.
Lynn's service to her community continued with her extensive volunteer work, which included YWCA York City "Moms and Mentors", Youth Trips with Habitat for Humanity, a reading tutor for the York Literacy Council, and a Hospice Volunteer. Lynn was an avid reader and shared a love for nature and her Rescue Lab, Zoe.
A quote, found on the bottom of Lynn's Resume from Fred Rodgers states "Anyone Who Does Anything to Help in the Life of a Child is a Hero to Me", Lynn truly fulfilled this quote and is truly a Hero to so many.

I met Lynn not very long ago when she began work at our library where I volunteer once a week. She was a sweet sweet person with a ready smile! She had such a contagiously upbeat way about her. The world needs more like her, and I'll miss her.

I met Lynn in the mid-80's when Jennifer and Mike attended the same Mother's Day-Out program with my children. I was one of the teachers and Mike was in the two year-old class with my daughter, Rebekah. We lost touch for many years until Mike and Rebekah were once again attending the same school in WYSD. When I saw Lynn at school events, it was like time had not passed. She always had a smile on her beautiful face and the conversations always had to contain laughter!! I loved her laugh! After our children graduated, we did not see each other again for many years, until we crossed paths at Living Word Community Church. As before, time had not passed between us.
I was blessed to know this Sweet and Kind Lady, and am thankful for every conversation I had with her. She truly was a bright and shining light in the world.
My heart hurts for you all and I will be praying for the Lord's perfect peace and comfort in the days and years ahead.

Lynn was one of the most kindest, generous and selfless people I have ever met. Her absence here on earth will certainly impact us all. But her love will live on through those many lives that she has touched. My heart goes out to all of her family and friends during this difficult time. Much love to you all.

I am so sorry to hear of Lynn's passing. I, too, knew her from Lambda when we were young and carefree. She was a beautiful young lady with a big smile.
It's been many years, but from the pictures I've seen, it looks like she lived a good life, full of love. My heart goes out to her loved ones.

Lynn's smile was contageous. We were in the same sorority at Frostburg (just a few years ago). Between her smile and her Farah Fawcett hairstyle, she was always a breath of fresh air. Definitely gone too soon. My sincere condolences to all that know and were touched by her. Rest in peace, Lynn.
