Lynn Eller, 85, died Friday, December 28, at his home in Atlanta, only weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Central Presbyterian Church.

Lynn participated in many Atlanta musical groups, and for over fifty years he was active in the Chancel Choir at Central Presbyterian Church. He also served as president of the Atlanta Choral Guild and sang with the Atlanta Symphony Chorus, the Atlanta Chamber Opera, and the Fletcher Wolfe Chorale. In addition, his rich bass voice was often heard as he sang or narrated local productions such as Britten's "Noye's Fludde" and Honegger's "King David" and recorded voice-overs for local and national commercials.

The son of Verne and Stella Thomas Eller, Lynn was a native of Straton, Nebraska. He earned a B.S. degree from the University of Nebraska and a Masters in retailing from New York University. He worked as a marketing coordinator for the military Post Exchange in Europe for four years before settling in Atlanta in 1959. He also worked as regional sales representative for Burlington Industries, as catering manager for Cloudt's on Peachtree, and as an independent caterer before retiring.

Lynn is survived by one brother, Wade Burdette Eller of Boise, Idaho, four nieces, and four nephews. In addition, he is survived by his partner of fifty-six years, Don Robinson, and his family, including Carleen Savage, Linda McCord, and Don Savage.
