Obituary

Lynn Thomas Turner, 79, of Houston, Texas went to be with the Lord August 13, 2013. He was born September 15, 1933 in Trinity, Texas and was a 1952 graduate of North Zulch High School in Zulch, Texas. After graduation he was drafted in the United States Navy and served honorably for six years. Lynn was a member of the Uvalde Baptist Church. He enjoyed personal visits with his family and friends. Lynn was instrumental in supporting his wife, Sarah, in the Senior Olympics. Lynn is preceded in death by his parents, Fitz and Rosella Turner-Keefer and a half-sister, Jean Keefer. Lynn Thomas Turner, 79, of Houston, Texas went to be with the Lord August 13, 2013. He was born September 15, 1933 in Trinity, Texas and was a 1952 graduate of North Zulch High School in Zulch, Texas. After graduation he was drafted in the United States Navy and served honorably for six years. Lynn was a member of the Uvalde Baptist Church. He enjoyed personal visits with his family and friends. Lynn is preceded in death by his parents, Fitz and Rosella Turner-Keefer and a half-sister, Jean Keefer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sarah E. Turner, children, Sarai Lynn Turner and Joseph Lindsey Turner all of Houston, Texas; brother, Larry Turner and wife, Shirley of Spring, Texas; half-sister, Joan Stewart of Alaska and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 9a.m., Friday, August 16, 2013 with Funeral services to follow at 10:00 a.m. at the Uvalde Baptist Church, 901 Uvalde, Houston, Texas. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
