Lysle Frederick "Fritz" Miller, 97, of Daugherty Township, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 7, 2018. He was born June 17, 1920 in New Brighton, son of the late Albert and Mary (Shaffer) Miller. Known affectionately as Fritz by friends and family, he was a retired dairy farmer and later from Diamond Milling. He enjoyed the outdoors by cutting grass or tending to his garden. Fritz considered work as a hobby. He was always ready to jump in and help others. He was a former member of the Retired Men's Club and the Men's Club of New Brighton. Fritz was a faithful member of Concord United Methodist Church. Most important of all he was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Velma (Whittle) Miller and wife: Edith (Blinn) Miller; two brothers: Irvin L. Miller, Sr. and George W. Miller.
Fritz is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Lysle (Carol) Miller, Jr., Daugherty Township; daughter: Carole Miller, Arden, NC; three grandchildren: Jodi Miller, Paul (Taryn) Miller, Jill (Robert) Wahl; five great grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Ethan, Rob, Emma and Rebekah; four step children: William May; Tom (Dawn) May; Joann (Richard) Serge; Janet (Darrell) Copeland; 11 step grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren and 3 step great great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., (GPS 848 Sunflower Road adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the time of service, on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Concord United Methodist Church, 285 Concord Church Rd, Beaver Falls, PA 15010 with Rev. John Magargee and Rev. Dr. Dennis Krajacic, officiating. Private interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
