Marion Frances (Jacobs) Goodrich, 94, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Robert Goodrich, peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 22, 2013 at the Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Bristol, CT to the late Bertha & Arthur Goodrich, Marion lived in Plainville for many years prior to moving to East Hartford. Marion was a resident at Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center for many years and prior to living there was a volunteer at the facility. She leaves an only child, Robyn Goodrich of Ithaca, NY; a granddaughter Lesley Gibbs and her husband Michael of Clinton, CT, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great grandson-in-law, and many friends. Marion loved all the wonderful activities provided by the recreation department at Riverside and attended many of them. Marion was a long-time member of First Congregation Church of East Hartford. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and her wonderful zest for life. Marion's family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Riverside for their loving care. Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home is caring for the arrangements. A memorial service at First Congregational Church of East Hartford, 837 Main Street, East Hartford will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in West Cemetery, Plainville, CT.
