MARY L. BROWN March 3, 1934 – April 29, 2012 Mary Brown was born on March 3, 1934, and entered into rest on April 29, 2012. She was a native of Clarksdale, MS, where she attended Port Gibson High School and Coahoma Junior College, graduating with an Associate's Degree. Mary and her husband Bill met in school in Clarksdale and were married in 1954, a marriage that lasted 58 years. The Brown family moved to California in 1974 and made Rancho Cordova their home for the past 36 years. March 3, 1934 – April 29, 2012

Mary Brown was born on March 3, 1934, and entered into rest on April 29, 2012. She was a native of Clarksdale, MS, where she attended Port Gibson High School and Coahoma Junior College, graduating with an Associate's Degree. Mary and her husband Bill met in school in Clarksdale and were married in 1954, a marriage that lasted 58 years. The Brown family moved to California in 1974 and made Rancho Cordova their home for the past 36 years. Mary worked for the Folsom-Cordova School district as a special education teacher at Rancho Cordova Elementary. Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1955 and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Rancho Cordova. Mary loved God, family, children and sweets. She also enjoyed ceramics, puzzles, history, culture, traveling, meeting people, and reading the Bible. She saw the good in everyone and always encouraged people to be their best.

Mary is survived by her husband Bill, her children Bill, Ronald, and daughter Demetrix, and grandchildren Jakira, Jewell, and Anthony. She is also survived by her brother Matthew of Springfield MO, and sisters Dovia of Springfield, MO and Ella of North Little Rock, AR. Her parents Henry and Georgia as well as her brother Henry precede her in death.

The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, that any contributions be made to First Baptist's Children's department.
