Sister Beth, it is bittersweet as I know that you are with the Lord free from pain, but my heart continues to ache because you will be terribly missed. As the scripture says, "To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord." The laughs, conversations, late night prayers that lasted what seemed like hours, the baby showers and birthday parties that we planned over the years. My goodness, true friendship, true fellowship.
I remember in mid 2008, I had known God all of my life, but had not given my life to Christ. I did not have a relationship with Him. And one day, this vibrant woman started to casually visit my office at IRC once to twice a week. She would ask me questions about my faith, about my relationship with Christ. I was not offended, but I wondered, "who was this woman who just showed up in my life?" Now, 8 years later, knowing that it was God-ordained and it was the beginning of a beautiful sisterhood between us. I was mesmerized by this light that was emanating from you. I did not understand it, but wanted to know more. You would bring your Bible and casually share your faith journey with me. Then one day in August 2008, I shared with you that I had given my life to Christ and had invited the Lord into me and Isaiah's life. It was this burst of God-filled energy. I craved God and wanted to know more about Him and I knew God placed you in my life to walk this faith journey. You were thrilled when I shared my experience with you and said, "Praise God, I've been praying for you."
I have always been amazed at your faith. When I went through personal challenges, day-to-day struggles, you would remind me to have faith the size of a mustard seed.
The lessons that I have learned from you are invaluable. They were: 1) Take care of my health making time to rest and not placing so many things on my plate; 2) Place God first; 3) Be family oriented; 4) Be present in the moment and value every precious second especially with Isaiah; 4) Wait on the Lord with faith, humility, and wholehearted trust; and lastly 5) To say I love you- after every phone call, at the end of every email and text, interaction, you would always say, "I love you" and I would say, "Love you too Sis!"
The truth is I could go on and on, but know that I will miss you and I love you beyond words Sis and I'm truly grateful that God had blessed Isaiah and I with the 8 years that we had with you. It's still knowing that I will never see you again on this side, but I rejoice in knowing that one day I will get to see my Sis again with our Lord. We will be there for your family, will pray for them, and love your boys as our own.
Til we see each other again Sis. Love you my dear friend and Sister Beth!!

Tribute to Ma Elizabeth Santos My Beloved Sister-in-Christ
As one of Elizabeth's Beloved friends and sisters-in-Christ, I will always remember Elizabeth as my Filipino sister from another mother and vice versa she would joke that I am her Nigerian Filipino sister. In 2005, God placed Elizabeth in my life at work, (Inland Regional Center(IRC)) during which we discovered that we shared the same Faith and worship in the same church(The Rock Church and World Outreach Center) in San Bernardino. While Elizabeth was at IRC, as a Medicaid Waiver Registered Nurse(BSN, QIDP), she had a passion for her work, enjoyed helping others, and making sure that we are all well especially spiritually.

I will always cherish several memories of Elizabeth's great sense of humor, fun loving, her kindness, compassion for others, perseverance, caring, selfless, generous, totally sold out for Christ, etc. I will miss those moments of our discussions on scriptures and application to life situations and how we always allowed the Holy Spirit to guide us. Thank goodness for Beth, I had to buy a life application study Bible to prepare for our wonderful discussions! Beth influenced several friends to buy the life application study Bible for better understanding of the scriptures. She even bought Bibles for those who were unable to afford them. Elizabeth left a Christ-like legacy for those she encountered in her lifetime. Beth lived a life that reflects her faith and her personal relationship with Jesus. I will also miss our prayer moments. Oh my, Beth relished those moments. As I reflect on several beautiful memories of Elizabeth, I can never forget how divine she sang, and enjoyed praise and worship songs, especially Hill song Worship songs. Beth was indeed a unique individual

Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and outstanding employee at Inland Regional Center! She will forever be remember as an Amazing witness of Jesus Christ in this lost world! Her love for others was genuine in her conversations and actions. She understood and lived the true meaning of Agape Love which is Christ Love. She simply lived out the scripture verse, 1 Peter 1: 22 which simply states, Love One Another deeply from the heart. Beth was a warrior who divinely finished her race here on earth regardless of all obstacles. Thank God that death was conquered by Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary! Amen!!! God had a better plandivine celebration for her in eternity! Beth is certainly having a heavenly party, rejoicing, and dancing, none stop worshipping God in her new heavenly body and most likely shouting HALLELUYAH!!!

I also like to take this opportunity to SALUTE Brother Norbert and thank him for the display of love to Elizabeth throughout her health challenges until her passing on to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. Brother Norbert, you were outstanding in the ways that you took great care of your wife and children without wavering. Jacob and Kevin, you are wonderful childrenyour mom was very proud of you! She enjoyed sharing your accomplishments and desired so much for you to serve Christ wholeheartedly without wavering. Your beloved mother's sweet memories are your treasures to keep, she is part of you always Both of you are believers, so please share your mother's legacy of Christ love and winning souls for Christ. Ate Ronke, would like for you to make this a generational legacy in honor of your beloved mother, my beloved friend and sister-in-Christ. My prayer for both of you is that you will continue to grow in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and men, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!!!

Overall, according to an anonymous quote, God has a reason for allowing things to happen. We may never understand His wisdom but we simply have to trust His will. Elizabeth's good memories and loving nature will surly live on. As believers in Christ, we are assured in the scriptures that to be absent of the body is to be present with Jesus! Such a powerful Biblical promise for believers...which simply means as Christians no matter how we leave this lost world either by rapture or death we are assured eternity in HEAVEN! I am assured that my beloved sister Elizabeth is in Heaven! Heaven is described as our eternal home and a beautiful place for those that faithfully served Christ on earth and finished the glorious race. Elizabeth will certainly be missedmy beloved friend and sister in Christ. Kaya nga minimithi Ma Elizabeth Santos(Which means so long for now in Filipino language).

On behalf of my family, I pray that God will comfort Elizabeth's family and give them strength, courage, and peace during this time.

With Much Love,

Where do I begin? My dearly beloved friend and sister. We connected as soon as we met. Our friendship was one of love, laughter, prayers, and faith. Beth's love for her husband and boys was only surpassed by her faith in, commitment to, and love for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold of eternal life...professed a good profession before many witnesses (1 Tim. 6;12). This is part of Beth's legacy. It was an honor and very humbling to witness Beth's courage and hunger for God. She was truly a bright light in this dark world (Jn. 1:15).

Beth was never preoccupied with herself; she focused on the Lord and her family. She never complained, but rather chose to believe in God's goodness. I shall miss our lengthy telephone prayers and fellowshiping. As I think of her now, I can clearly see her and remember how we looked forward to meeting at Charis.

I rejoice that she is in Heaven with her Father, is among the great cloud of witnesses, and is now beholding Jesus face to face. I am so thankful for the time that I had with her during her earthly journey. As I struggle to accept that I will never again talk with Beth on the phone, and grieve with and for her husband and boys, I have come to realize and take comfort knowing that Beth did fulfill her purpose for which she was born...she was a beautiful, loving, passionate, committed, faithful woman who loved her God, her family, her friends, the body of Christ, and the people of this world. She loved as Christ loved, and just Jesus sat down at the Father's right hand when He finished His work, Beth can now rest for there is nothing more for her to do. She became conformed to the image of Christ while on Earth and is now seated with Him in heavenly places. She is now worshiping and praising the God that she loved face-to-face because she heard those words that she we all long to hear, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...enter into the joy of the Lord (Mt. 25:21).

I will miss our long talks on the phone. 34 years is not enough it seems for us to fulfill our plans, we were supposed to celebrate our 5oth bday together and you will come and visit me here. But our ways are not His ways, His timing is always perfect. That gives me comfort at this time. Cheer on us who are still running the race. You've been a good and faithful servant, Beth.

A simple poem to the best mom, wife and friend we know.

B-est memory we can think of, for the beloved woman there be,
Full of life, kind and jolly, with sweet smile, in our mind always she will be.

E-nchanting when she talks about the importance of family,
Priority is a word she always uses, applying the love to her kids and hubby,

T-ruth be told, the Creator has taken her from us,
We all miss her but she has joined Him, in a better place that last.

H-eavenly, she left us memories knitting tools we kept all these years,
She taught knitting with eagerness and might, this woman indeed cares!

Today is Friday and it is her birthdaya day not for this earth but out of this world. Happy Birthday Beth!

Love,
Eric, Christina and Leanna
