Funeral service for Macey Nolen Head, 83, of Anniston, will be 2 pm Monday, October 17, 2016 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Pastor Cory Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Head died passed away on Thursday in Oxford.
Survivors include daughters, Debra Henderson (Gary), Tina Roper (Dennis) and Michaga Vinson (Shane), sons, James Mack Head (Vanessa) and Kenneth Head (Jill), sister, Jean Viens (Joe), brothers, Lewis Nolen, Thomas Nolen, Wayne Nolen and Carroll Nolen, best friend, Mildred Thornton, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Head is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Head, daughter, Betty East, grandsons, Patrick Wayne East and Kenneth V. Head Jr., granddaughter, Anita Jean Harrison and great granddaughter, Olivia Hope Harrison.
Pallbearers will be Mike Rogers, Tranzie Loveless, Bobby Lovell, Justin Long, and Jeff Doby.
Mrs. Head was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of Morrisville Baptist Church. The family would like to express a special thank you to Amedysis Home Health and to Amedysis Hospice.
