One grandchild Noah Ashford Boone who was always the bright spot in Papa's day, no matter how bad he may have felt.
Mack retired from General Electric. He worked in the Nuclear/Aircraft division for over 25 plus years.
Several years after retirement, he worked with his newphew at Coastal Cabinets. There he provided assistance to ensure the business had what was needed. There he also enjoyed cooking lunch for the employees..
Mack was a kind and caring person with a big heart who loved helping others. He main joy was his family but he also found great joy in grocery shopping and finding the best deals he could on food! Most Saturday mornings he could be found at Sams, which was his favorite place to shop!
He relied greatly on his faith in God and did so until the very end of his life. Most people in Macks life heard him say, "God has been good to Mack Fann". Even during the last two months of his life whether he was in the hospital or in a rehab facility he would continue to pray and talk to God aloud. He touched many lives even when he was not even aware of it! He simply loved his God!
He also enjoyed having a vegetable garden, fishing with his brothers in law in the Black River and chopping wood.
He was a member of Pine Valley United Methodist Church. There he found love in helping providing food for the Thanksgiving and Christmas services and making his homemade banana pudding!

The family would first like to extend their heart-felt appreciation and love to his caregiver, Sally Robison-McBrayer! She brought Mack a lot of happiness and laughter in the last 10 months and was considered to be part of the family! She provided much help and support to his daughter, Kristy Boone after the loss of Mack's wife, Jane Fann. She is a beautiful ray of sunshine and Mack always had a big smile on whenever Sally would come into his home or hospital room! Sally will always be special to this family for all hard work, love and kindness she displayed to Mack.
The family would also like to thank the wonderful Therapy Staff at Wilmington Health and Rehab Center. The worked hard with Mack and provided so much encouragement during his time with them.
Finally, the family would again like to extend their heart-felt appreciation to the ER doctor at NHRMC, Dr. McGrath and nurse, Emily for the kindness they show Mack's daughter, Kristy Boone, the day that Mack died. They were so very kind, caring and supportive at such a difficult time. They truly showed their hearts that day and the compassion they displayed will never be forgotten!
