Mr. Mack Edward Floyd, age 79 of Barnesville, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Brightmoor Nursing Center.
Mr. Floyd was born June 7, 1933 to the late Claude Edward Hendrix and the late Cleopatra Looney Hendrix. He retired from General Motors in 1988 after 33 years of service. Mr. Floyd was also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Lanell Neill Floyd.
Survivors include his children, Steve & Fay Floyd of Jackson and Judy & Terry Grubbs of Griffin; sisters, Louise Moore of Dallas and Edna Strolo of New York; grandchildren, C.P.O. Robert Daniel Brock, U.S.N. and Jennifer, Lt. Col. Garry S. Floyd, Jr. U.S.A.F. and Kacie, Ricky Stephen Brock and Christa of Barnesville and Stacy Hallman and Kenny of Griffin; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Mr. Mack Edward Floyd will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family 1 hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Brightmoor Hospice, 3247 Newnan Rd., Griffin, GA 30223 in memory of Mr. Floyd.
