As family we share in the loss of our sister-in-law Madge. She was introduced to our family as a shy young lady by our brother Norm. She soon endeared herself to us all and became so special to our family.
Even thought the years and distances have separated us - we were always happy to hear her welcome voice and laughter and sense of humor.
She loved her Lord and lived for Him in her quiet manner.
Our children who called her Auntie join with us in praying God's comfort and peace for all her family at this time of loss.
She is home in Heaven for the New Year and we thank God for her life and celebrate and honor her this day.

Ruth and I are very sorry to hear of Madge's passing. We met the Ottaway family, Madge, husband Norm, daughter Catherine and son Norman, when the family came to Oshawa Corps. She was a happy, energetic lady who brought much joy to our church family and many others through the years.
We pass along our love and condolences to the family members.

It is with sadness that we learn of Madge's untimely death. We had heard about Madge and Norm Ottaway and their service within the Salvation Army.
It was not until July 1992 when we came to Georgina that we learned that both Norm and Madge were very special people.
As family, you cherish Mom, and her parting has caused you pain. Madge's zest for life resonated with strength and her smile showed a joy of life that came from within.
As family, you no doubt will continue to gather over the next week or so. We believe that the protective shelter and healing love of family and friends will help you deal with your grief, face your emptiness, and be assured that we each truly care.
Holding treasures in your memories, and love in your hearts; be confident that the God of hope, healing and comfort will walk and abide with you and may it be etched as a reminder of the divine love of God who brings provision, protection and power. God be with you.

We are sad to hear that Madge died. This is a loss of a lovely, spunky lady who is much loved by family, our next-door-neighbours. I can't help but remember the image of her sitting out under the spring buds on Mother's Day, sipping a drink while awaiting home BBQ'd ribs. With deepest sympathy, Sarah, Rob, Mark, Ben, Sam.

So sorry to hear of Madge's passing. She was my Mom's best friend for years. (My Mom is Marion Keffer). She will be missed.
