Malcolm Eugene Shaw, 62, passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital on Sunday, December 22, 2013. He was born in Coshocton on June 25, 1951, the son of Rachel W. (Robert E.) Skinner and the late Rollin E. Shaw. Malcom was a 1969 graduate of Coshocton High School, and attended The Ohio State University. He worked and retired from AK Steel in Coshocton, after 31 years of service, and currently worked for Rural King. Malcolm Eugene Shaw, 62, passed away at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital on Sunday, December 22, 2013. He was born in Coshocton on June 25, 1951, the son of Rachel W. (Robert E.) Skinner and the late Rollin E. Shaw. Malcom was a 1969 graduate of Coshocton High School, and attended The Ohio State University. He worked and retired from AK Steel in Coshocton, after 31 years of service, and currently worked for Rural King. Malcolm enjoyed volunteer work, volunteering for Ducks Unlimited, Four Paws, Coshocton Footlight Players Theater, the Bicentennial, and Shepherds Christian Assembly with Starkey Lawrence. He was an avid outdoors man; he enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, and had a love and respect for firearms. He also was a diehard Dallas Cowboys football fan. Malcolm had a love for art, music, but most of all his wife and family. On December 31, 2001, Malcolm married Dorothy E. (Gershom) Shaw, who survives. In addition to his wife, Malcolm is survived by two sons, Christopher Shawn (Shelly) Shaw of Sana Rosa, California, and Jason (Mickie) Shaw of Columbus, Ohio; two step-sons, Jeffery (Sara) Harmon, and Bryan (Sarah) Harmon both of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Ashley, Riley, and Bethany Grace Shaw; three step-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Corey, and Serenity Harmon; half-sister, Andrea (Marty) Bickle; one uncle, Terry Shaw; seven cousins, Steve (Debi) Shaw, Amy (daughter, Natalie Strange) Shaw, Carlye Shaw, Kitty McConnell Brown, Cory McConnell, and Lorin McConnell; and one niece, Lauryn Bickle. In addition to his father, Malcolm is preceded in death by one cousin, Elaine McConnell. Per Malcolm's wishes cremation is to take place.
