She was the best Mother in the World! Momma was always there for me no matter what. If the kids needed anything she and Daddy where there ! we all each have a quilt she even left some baby ones for future grand babies shell never see. We had her a long time and each of us took care of her! She never learn to drive so we were he chauffeurs but we didnt mine. Sheila was the first born august 26, 1949. Then Ms Vicki Lynn July 24th 1953, then me the baby and very much her baby Tammy Lawayne Hedrick Jan. 24th 1964. I had the best childhood ever growing up in carrollton and going to the day school momma worked at the first Baptist Day school the best in carrollton back inthe day. With Mrs. Mary Myers, Ms. Grace Davis,Ms. Martha igleis, Mr.Steven robinson bus driver and afte school and Lanie Dension bus driver and after school, and Ms. Gail Mills. and of course Mr. And Mrs. Odom. It was athe place to be learning about the love of the Lord from such loving and kind people. I was surrounded by love and kindness all the time at home and at the day school church. never kmew hate really till i got older. Daddy would take to to the R.L. Turner football games when Sheila and Vicki went there I was 5 I remember his coffee thermas and his blanket and RL Turner blue seat Cushion. Momma love the little 2year olds she worked hard all day and made wonderful life long friendships. Evento this day her Friend Grace Davis who lives out in copper Canyon they talked everyday sometime three times and Mrs. Martha came to see her alot even though shes not to good her self. These women and my Aunt Melba Lawson were witness to me all true christians in a world where you do not see many! they all love the Lord and there families and there neighbors. I loved it when Melba would come for the country fair I would help as much as i could. She made the prettiest dolls bears, clowns, quilts, ducks, rabbits, pillows, My favorite that she made was Raggedy Ann & Andy! At the day school in the summer we would go swimming twice a week and skateing ar skateland twice a week and the friday was filed trip days wither six flags, zoo, seven seas etc. When i was very little I remember walking to the little store on the next street willow with mu big sisters. I miss all her good country cooking veggies from the garden, her sweet voice and the touch of her hand. I was on the 6th floor having chemo and she was on the 5th floor trying to recover, but I went down to her room after and Shelby and i wiped her dry lips with chapstick and swabbed her mouth with water and I kissed her on the head and told her I loved her.
they took her to hospice, but I never got there. I was at hospital have fluids on that Thursday and my niece Brandi called and told me she had passed away.
We had her for 88 years. But now shes in no pain and with Daddy! She fell in her home in April hit her head and knee! She was also in hospital the day i had my surgery to remove cancerious ovaries and tubes. .She was in rehab for two months. the last sunday we went to see her she told me it wouldnt be long and it wasent 4 days later actually. She called my sister Vicki to come to rehab at mid. same night she wasent breathing right and then the next morning they took her to hospital.

Mrs. Hedrick, you were such a loving mother. You were so loved by Tammy. I can still remember how talented you were with your crafts. May your children find peace together. May you dance in the arms of your loving husband in the kingdom of heaven. And in the hands of your creator, may you enjoy pain free your heavenly view. May God bless you, your husband and your family.

Mrs Hedrick was so sweet and kind! I remember all of the beautiful quilts she made. She had a booth set up at the Carrollton Fair. She also made clothes for Barbie dolls. She made a formal Barbie gown for my daughter one year. As a sewer myself, I was amazed at her talent to do such fine details! Another thing that I remember is how welcoming her home was. It was always so clean and pretty! I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs Hedrick's passing. Heaven has another angel! I'm praying for comfort and strength for her loved ones!
