Mamie Lee Lacy, 87, of Tyler, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in Tyler. Mamie, a homemaker, was born on April 8, 1926 in Troup. She grew up and attended school in Troup. Following high school she married John Henry Lacy on May 3, 1941 in Troup. They made their home in Troup until moving to Tyler in 1965. John preceded her in death on May 5, 2001. Mamie was also preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Gail and her husband, Ricky Marshall of Tyler, Marilyn Lacy of Troup, Patricia and her husband Lucius Frazier of Troup; sons, Larry and his wife, TiJuana Menefee of Wichita...
Mamie Lee Lacy, 87, of Tyler, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in Tyler.

Mamie, a homemaker, was born on April 8, 1926 in Troup. She grew up and attended school in Troup. Following high school she married John Henry Lacy on May 3, 1941 in Troup. They made their home in Troup until moving to Tyler in 1965.

John preceded her in death on May 5, 2001. Mamie was also preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings.

She is survived by her daughters, Gail and her husband, Ricky Marshall of Tyler, Marilyn Lacy of Troup, Patricia and her husband Lucius Frazier of Troup; sons, Larry and his wife, TiJuana Menefee of Wichita Falls, James Tyrone and his wife, Tiffany Lacy of Tyler; 6 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, April 4, 2014 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 5, 2014 at St Louis Baptist Church, 4000 Frankston Highway, Tyler. Interment will follow at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery, 7825 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Louis Baptist Church, 4000 Frankston Highway, Tyler, TX 75703.
