Through hard work and dedication he acquired his Bachelor's degree in Accounting and eventualluy became a C.P.A.
Manuel moved to San Diego, California in the late 1970's, until his death on January 6, 2013 (Three Kings Day) and eventually laid to rest on January 21, 2013 (Martin Luther King Day).
Because of Manuel's silent demeanor, people never realized his talents and vast accomplishments. But for those of us who were fortunate enough to know him, we cannot help but admire him in awe of how talented and intelligent he really was.
Manuel was an avid reader. He also loved doing cross-word puzzle, and was able to solve it 95-100% of the time. He can answer a lot of trivia questions. He enjoyed watching T.V. shows such as Jeopardy and answer most questions.
Besides being highly intelligent, Manuel was also well rounded and talentd in other walks of life. Manuel was great at carpentry. He can build anything from scratch. He was an awesome handyman and can fix/repair things around the house. He also loved to tend to his garden. The garden always looked immaculate. He also cared for his pets, and one his dog named Lucky was constantly at his side.
Manuel was a very active man who was always "on the go" from sunrise to sunset, he was in constant motion. Manuel also loved to dress up and go out. He loved to eat out and be around people and just observe his surroundings.
Manuel was a very family oriented man who loved kids. He had a naturlal talent being around babies, and he was able to take a crying baby and rock him to sleep. Manuel made all his children feel special in their own way. They all had special memories of him that they will always cherish for the rest of their lives. Manuel and his wife argued every now and then, but you can see that the love they had for each other was undenieable. As they grew older together, they still argued but they were a constant companion to each other and their love for each other continued to grow.
Manuel is survived by 6 children, 17 grand-children, and 2 great grand-children. Manuel was a quiet, intelligent, and talented man. Most of all, Manuel Garcia Padiernos is a man of tremendous generosity, and enormous love for his family.
We will miss him and he will alwys be in our hearts. Until we meet again. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
