MARCIA KAY PREST, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at age 75. She was preceded in death by her parents Cliff and Audrey Riedasch, her sister Carol Payne and her husband Rick Prest. She is survived by her sister Linda Cretin (Chuck) of Sequim, WA; step-son Rick Prest, Jr. (Julie) of Murrieta, CA; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Born and raised in Washington State, she spent most of her adult life in California working as a legal secretary and paralegal. After her marriage to Rick she helped manage his chiropractic practice. After Rick retired they moved to Mexico and enjoyed several years playing golf and socializing in Ajijic, Mexico until Rick's death, when she moved to El Paso.
Marcia had a lovely alto voice and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She loved to travel until her health issues made it too difficult. Her last trip was to California to meet her newest great-grandson. After having to give up golf and travel she took up quilting. Her dining room table became her quilting space and she always had a project going.
Marcia was a very special person, warm-hearted and loving, fierce and funny, independent and strong willed, generous and gentle. She faced her many medical problems without complaint, with a strong heart and belief in God. She will be sorely missed.
