Marcus J. "Big Cas" Casbon Sr. passed away suddenly on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at the age of 80. He was a native New Orleanian and has resided in Carrolton, Texas since Katrina. He was the son of the late Ettienne and Justine Casbon. Brother of the late Mary Luscy (Albert), Andrew Casbon (Pearl) and Angella Reynolds (Rudy). Beloved husband of Jean "Jenny" Cash for 24 years. Formerly married to Claudette Casbon Fischer for 32 years. Marcus J. "Big Cas" Casbon Sr. passed away suddenly on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at the age of 80. He was a native New Orleanian and has resided in Carrolton, Texas since Katrina. He was the son of the late Ettienne and Justine Casbon. Brother of the late Mary Luscy (Albert), Andrew Casbon (Pearl) and Angella Reynolds (Rudy). Beloved husband of Jean "Jenny" Cash for 24 years. Formerly married to Claudette Casbon Fischer for 32 years. Father of Marcus Casbon Jr. (Sharon), Kim Arnold (Richie), Cheri Delahoussaye (Edwin) and the late Derek Casbon and stepsons Jason Cash (Celeste), Sean Cash (Desiree). Grandfather of Amanda Stoltz (Chris), Alisha Casbon (Richie), Brandy Lee Casbon (Paul), Edwin Delahoussaye (Samantha), Tara Casbon (Tony), Brandon Casbon, Bradley Casbon (Jessica), Jeffery Faul, Tyler Faul, Kayla Casbon and Parker Cash. Great grandfather of Trey Maillho, Victoria Pastrana, Ashton Catalinotto, Stefan Stoltz, Christopher Ostendorf, Carter Casbon, Madison Stoltz and Adrianna Delahoussaye. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. He was a longshoreman at Local 3000. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Marcus was also owner and trainer of his race horses at Jefferson Downs and The Fairgrounds. He was an avid gardner, loved to cook, a very unique and special person with a very big heart. Marcus loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by his family and all those whose lives he touched. Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral service on Saturday April 27 at 1:30pm at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home on Canal Street.
