Peg Drake, 99 of Kimberly passed away peacefully at the family farm in Kimberly on Saturday, June 7, 2014.

Peg was born Dec 28, 1914, in Twin Falls, Idaho to Fred and Harriet (Davis), Kennedy. She lived on the family farm in Kimberly until age 6, and then moved to Twin Falls. Completing her college education in Spokane Washington Secretarial School, Peg worked at Twin Falls Bank and Trust Kimberly Branch for many years. She always enjoyed the outdoors, belonging to the Twin Falls Mounted Sheriff's Posse, also to some of the original ski pioneers that skied Magic Mountain, Sun Valley and pretty much anywhere there was a hill with snow. Never one to let age get in her way to try new things, she took up cross country skiing in her 60's and was one of the original tap dancers with the Top Hat Tappers (originally the Shim Sham Tappers). She tapped with the Top Hat Tappers until she was 95. Always the rose and Iris gardener, she left a beautiful mark of flowers around her home in Kimberly. The kindest of people, Peg had many friends of all ages who admired her quick wit and sweet spirit.

Peg married Frank Drake in 1946 and to that union had three children. Much to her mother's delight, her little "social butterfly" had settled down and drove back and forth between Salt Lake and Twin Falls with the three children, while Frank a traveling salesman was on the road.

The surviving children are Mike Drake of Twin Falls, Jeff and Jackie Drake of Twin Falls, and Deb Drake of Kimberly along with one grandchild, Jordan (Kayley) Drake of Boise. Step grandchildren include Mike and Michelle Federico (their children Bo Federico and Tysha and Kyle Clements and their son Camron Clements) and Corky and Terrie Federico (their children Sara and Allison Federico).

Peg was preceded in death by her parents, her husband's parents Harry and Irene Drake, two siblings passing before she was born, her husband Frank, and her daughter in law Sharon Drake.

Much appreciation goes to the St Luke's Hospice staff for their kind care of Peg in the past 2 years. She always wanted to hold and warm their hands.

Cremation will take place at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, with private interment at a later date. No services are planned, but condolences for the family may be left at www.reynoldschapel.com.

Charitable donations may be given to "Hoppy the Cat" in care of Green Acres Pet Care, 868 Green Acres Drive, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301 to further her great love and care for cats, or to St Luke's Hospice Care, 601 Poleline Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
