Peggy was a member of the Junior League of Greensboro and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church where she lovingly served on the Vestry, Altar Guild and in various other capacities. She graduated from Greensboro Senior High School and Women's College (now UNCG).

Know that you never knew me, but your Grandfather Arthur Welch was my Godfather (at St. Andrews Episcopal) and I was the flower girl in your Mama's wedding. I was glad that the announcement ran in the Raleigh paper -otherwise I would not have known of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Peggy's presence in my life will be dearly missed. I was a church friend, and an Altar Guild member. I was always so thankful for Peggy's dedication to our mission, and her care for the linens was appreciated more than she will ever know. I am a better person for having known Peggy, and will be forever grateful for our time together. My prayers for comfort and peace will be with her family in the difficult days ahead.

Hubert & I ran into Peggy at Brown-Gardiner a couple of months ago, after not seeing her for some time, and had a very pleasant visit. I enjoyed the years we worked together in Old Greensborough Preservation Society and had missed seeing her. She was a delight as usual and will be missed. Our condolences to the family.

We have so many great memories of growing up with the Lambeth's. Mrs. Lambeth was always so wonderful and treated us like part of the family. I am so glad I saw her this summer while I was back home having lunch with my mother at the drug store. She had not changed a bit...still feisty with that unmistakable voice!
Pete and I are away on a trip together. We regret that we will miss the celebration of her life, but please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all!
Much Love,
Tricia Denning (& family)

The sorrow of the faithful is not that of permanet loss, but the tender sense of sadness that comes in saying good-bye for now to someone we love. May today's sorrow give way to the peace and comfort of God's love.

Peggy was such a wonderful person. She brought joy to all! I spoke to her (on the phone last week while she was in the hospital). She told me of the toast that her family wanted to have in her honor. I thought that was a wonderful thing for her loved ones to do. It meant a lot to Peggy. Through all she was going through, she asked how I was feeling since I had recently been ill. (She was in our doctor's office the week before. I was out and she inquired about me). She always made everyone feel like they were her best friend. I thank God for the life of Peggy Lambeth and pray for her family that she loved very much!
Sincerely,
