Schagene, Margaret M., 87, went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 30, 2015, at Norton Women's Hospital. Margaret was a member of St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church for many years and a former member of Rat Racers of Louisville.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Donna Frasher Pope (Donald); very special nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; and friends from Lorillard Tobacco Company.
Much gratitude and praise to her close friends and caregivers at Adams Building, The Pillars, Sam Swope Care Center, and Glenna Godsey at Masonic Homes and to outstanding medical personnel throughout her lifetime including Dr. Thomas Woodcock, Dr. Don Stevens and Tracy Wortham, RN, of Louisville Oncology; Kim Sublett, Director, Pillars Assisted Care; and the staff at Norton's 2 West.
Visitation and burial will be private for family only, per her wishes. A public Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 12 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel.
A Celebration of Margaret's life for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 6, at 2 pm, at the Pillars Chapel at Masonic Homes. A reception at The Bistro in The Olmsted will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Margaret can be made to one of her favorite charities, Kosair Children's Hospital or The Kentucky Humane Society. Envelopes can be received at the funeral home and at the Pillars.

Rest in peace beautiful lady. One of the best friends my Mom ever had and she thought the world of her. Those two are no doubt in Heaven, giggling, dancing, and telling stories about their escapades at the "Big E'' in Owensboro. My sympathies to Donna. You took wonderful care of her.
