Mrs. Margaret Shuler Foltz, 87, a resident of Luray, died April 5, 2015, at Whispering Pines Assisted Living.
A daughter of the late Harold K. and Delia Varner Modisett, she was born on January 9, 1928 in Luray. She graduated from Luray High School in 1945 and attended Madison College.
Margaret lived her entire life in Page County and was employed with the Page County Extension Service where she retired. She was a member of Grove Hill Friendship Club and did Bible Study with Shenandoah Baptist Church. She was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church and also attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Foltz is survived by a sister, Alice M. Comer & husband Carroll, of Luray; brother, Robert H. Modisett of Luray; two step-daughters, Monica Printz & husband, Charles, and Susan McAnulty & husband, Dale, all of Shenandoah; three step grandsons, Chuck Printz & wife, Sharon, Shawn Printz & wife, Michelle, Nathan McAnulty & wife, Sarah; a number of step great-grandchildren; and two step great-great-granddaughters.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer L. (Tom) Shuler, Jr. in 1981 and Glenn Dale Foltz in 2011; her son, Thomas Allen (Tommy) Shuler in 1973; and step grandson, Spencer McAnulty.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 9th, 2015, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Lindsey-Kyger Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Phyllis Diamond and Rev. Hudson Nuckols officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
