Margaret "Peggy" Aldrich passed away November 14, 2012 from complications suffered after a stroke and fall, her daughter and granddaughter at her side. She was a month shy of 102 years old. Peggy was born in Pierce, CO December 14, 1910 to Helen Sophia and Charlie C. Rogers, the youngest of 2 children. Her family moved to Buhl, ID in 1914 by covered wagon; where she was raised along with her older brother Walter Rogers (Klammoth Falls, OR). She married William M. Aldrich (Bill) May 5, 1930. Margaret "Peggy" Aldrich passed away November 14, 2012 from complications suffered after a stroke and fall, her daughter and granddaughter at her side.

She was a month shy of 102 years old.

Peggy was born in Pierce, CO December 14, 1910 to Helen Sophia and Charlie C. Rogers, the youngest of 2 children. Her family moved to Buhl, ID in 1914 by covered wagon; where she was raised along with her older brother Walter Rogers (Klammoth Falls, OR). She married William M. Aldrich (Bill) May 5, 1930. They had one daughter, Barbara Kienzle of Sacramento, CA.

Peggy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had many interests and talents. She was a gifted seamstress and won prizes at the county fair for her afghans. She painted china and mastered toll painting. She was a wonderful cook. She took an interest in politics at a young age and worked on the election board for 57 years. She was an active member of Easter Star for 79 years, the Philanthropic Educational Organization , Daughters of the Nile and wife of a long standing Mason and Shriner.

Peggy and Bill enjoyed dancing, bowling and golf. They loved to picnic with friends and take long drives in the country looking for rocks. They loved hosting sit down dinners with friends and family.

Margaret spent the last 9 years of her life in Sacramento, CA living with her daughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents Helen Sophia and Charlie C. Rogers, Brother Walt Rogers, husband William Aldrich.
She is survived by her daughter Barbara Kienzle of Sacramento, CA, four grandchildren; Roiyn Bell of Santa Barbara, CA, Julie Bell of Sacramento, CA, Christie Cunningham (Michael) of Sacramento, CA and John Bell (Barbara) of Sheridan, CA, six great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Also 15 step grandchildren and niece Joann (Chuck) Deloach of Mountain Home, ID.

The family of Margaret Aldrich would like to thank her Dr. Carl Halr and Dr. Scott Baion for their kindness, advice and wonderful care. Margaret spent the last two months of her life at Sacramento Sub acute Skilled nursing Facility. Thank you to the staff, nurses and CNAs who gave her care and compassion during her stay.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2013 for friends and family in Buhl, ID. Details will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriner's Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah.
